Long Distance Smile

You know when you can do something really cool for a friend with hardly any effort at all? That feeling is your favorite glass of white wine on the porch on a hot summer night. It's all your babies asleep by 7:00. It's Matt coming home early from a spring break trip in college and knocking on my door at 5:00 a.m. because he couldn't wait to see me. It's a phone call. It's the unexpected vase of dinner plate dahlias on my counter.

I love that feeling.

A friend of mine, @inga_ros, is kicking butt and taking names in a competition with a prize of epic proportions. We could be jealous because she lives in Iceland and has a full name that reeks of awesome with more umlauts and little marky things above the letters than ought to be allowed. We could hate her because she and her husband and all five of their children are ridiculously, Icelandicly gorgeous. We will all most certainly envy her and her ridiculously gorgeous family if they win 365 free nights in Radisson Blu hotels.
